Bon Secours Mercy Health has been partnering with the Center for Pharmacy Practice Innovation since before either of them even had those names – back when the center was founded in 2015 as the Center for Pharmacy Practice Transformation and Bon Secours Mercy Health was Bon Secours Health System, Inc., Bon Secours Medical Group.

Partner Spotlight: Bremo Pharmacy

Bremo Pharmacy is a partner in the Center for Pharmacy Practice Innovation‘s 24-hour blood pressure monitoring project. Through this project, Bremo and CPPI researchers were able to get a snapshot of what their patients’ blood pressures look like over the course of a day and night, allowing them to better care for their needs.

With $1.3M grant, VCU to expand community treatment of diabetes and hypertension

The VCU School of Pharmacy’s Center for Pharmacy Practice Innovation, in collaboration with VCU Health, is launching a project to help people across Virginia prevent diabetes and heart disease. The five-year project, supported by a projected $1.3 million over five years from the Virginia Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, will use telemedicine, remote monitoring, one-on-one coaching and community partnerships to improve participants’ health.

VCU Pharmacy’s CPPI announces partnership with journal Pharmacy Practice

The VCU School of Pharmacy’s Center for Pharmacy Practice Innovation is proud to announce an editorial partnership with Pharmacy Practice, a quarterly full-text peer-reviewed online journal. Pharmacy Practice was founded as an independent journal by a group of prominent pharmacy-practice researchers from around the world about 10 years ago. Pharmacy Practice is free to access, complying with the NIH’s policy on public access, and does not charge for submissions or publication.

Dixon, the new director of the VCU School of Pharmacy Center for Pharmacy Practice Innovation, says the center is poised to help transform health care delivery and to ensure that tomorrow’s pharmacists have myriad opportunities. With Dixon now at the helm, the CPPI is getting ready to move into McGuire Hall on the MCV Campus and tackle the challenges of a changing health care landscape.
